FOREST


Creating a forest is a very demanding job in the world. Planting a tree somewhere and conserving it is difficult for you and me. But what if a single man created a whole forest.


FOREST MAN OF INDIA 


Assam is a well-known state for floods. Many floods attack this state and even cause great destruction during the flood. Majuli is a river island in Assam. Island is a landmass that is surrounded by ocean or sea on all sides. But the river island is surrounded by the river on all sides. A high flood attacked this Majuli and made it a desert with some people left out. Every animal, tree, and property was damaged. Very few people left out in flood plans to get out of this place and go to a nearby village for survival as this place has become a desert. Jadav Payeng was an 11-year old boy who notices the tears in the animals dead there. He conveys an idea to the left-out people in the village to convert this desert into a thick forest. This idea emerged when he realized that he was able to survive in this flood only due to his strong house. Animals don't have a house to get a shelter that made this animal die. The people over there were so angry with him and told him to get out of this village if he needs to live. All the people left that place and left Jadav alone there. He conveys his ideas to the nearby local authority of developing a forest. This local authority rejected his idea because the place was a desert now. He again asks a request to the nearby villages. But no one accepted. Many complained to his parents about his mental activity. Even people suggested admitting him to a mental hospital.



With his hope, he planned to build a thick forest in that desert. He bought seeds and much more equipment. He started planting seeds and was waiting for the plant to come out. But what he expected was not there in the field. With a sad face, he went into his bedroom and had a good sleep. When he awakes, he sees people crying in front of him. He asked the reason for it. The people around him took him with the bed he was sleeping on


. In the field, the seeds came out as small plants. This made him give a good boost. He started planting many plants and the very thing grew big. After growing trees, he built a nice house in the middle of the forest. The local authority came to this place and got fascinated. They asked the man behind these growings. Jadav Peyang came in and introduced himself. They were familiar with this face before but couldn't find it. Jadav explained the story of his arrival to the local authority when he was 11 years old. The local authority members got tears in their eyes and also funded amounts to grow this forest. H used the whole money to buy products for developing the forest. 



He also earned by selling milk that he got from his cattle. One day a tiger came and has eaten the very cow he had. Seeing this people told him to come from the village. But he refused to do that. Another day, an elephant came into the nearby village and destroyed the crops. People came furiously with an ax in their hand. And planned to cut the trees. Jadav explained that these animals come in because we have destroyed their homes. If we grow more forests, these animals don't come out. People accepted and made plans to stop the arrival of the forest into their village.


A photographer who got into this forest was surprised because a variety of trees were found there. A forest will have one to three varieties of trees but this forest had much variety of trees. He took beautiful pictures and published them. This made people astonish and wonder whether this type of place also exists on this earth.

After that, he got the Padma Shri award and the Indian government named him as Forest man of India.


He has created 1360 acres of forest.
