Urban Legends are not reliable. But curiosity takes over our belief and makes us hear these legends. Like so, for many years people in surat don't visit a place after sunset. Beach is the place where people in surat don't visit after sunset.
GHOST BEACH
Beach is a relaxing place for everybody during the holidays. Many picnics are also being conducted on the beach. But what if a ghost residing on a beach. That would be too scary. Dumas Beach in Surat has got this name. People who live here, go to this beach before sunset. After sunset, the police come in and says everybody to get rid of here. Sunset in the sense before 6:00 pm. Every beach might have a white to brown sand color. This Dumas beach will have blackish sand all over the beach. The Black sand on this beach has a story. People consider that this place was a graveyard before and burnt many dead bodies here. Their ashes mixed with the sand and made this beach a black sand beach. Some others say that ashes were mixed in this water which in turn reached this seashore by waves and as days passes, this sand became black. This beach is so long that anybody can reach this waterside after a 10 to 15 minutes walk. After sunset, people believe that the crying sound of a female is heard and after her crying, they hear a laughing sound of a male on the beach.
Another great story prevails through the internet about Victor. Victor is in a joint family. He is a child. During Sundays, families visit this place by morning and create their own place on this beach. Victor and his other cousin brothers and sisters were playing and enjoying well. The whole family had a stomach full lunch. When the sunset was nearing and every family was moving out, they even planned to move out. Suddenly, Victor who was playing there was lost. Rest others are present. Every family member searched him. The time reached more than 7:00. Victor's dad and uncle decided to search for Victor by themselves and sent other members home. While searching for Victor, police saw them and investigated for their presence on this beach at that time. They explained the situation that they were undergoing. Police also tried to help them, but couldn't find him. Finally, the police insisted them give a complaint in the station and leave this place as soon as possible. But they two rejected and were stubborn in their decision. The police sent a constable with them and started his rounds all around the beach. Victor's uncle and constable are searching for Victor on one side of the beach and Victor's father was searching for him on the other side. Constable with Victor's uncle said that this beach is a haunted beach and even thieves use this beach during nighttime as there won't be anyone there. But Victor's uncle had a casual talk with him and both were talking to each other while searching for Victor. On the other side, Victor's father also can't find him. But after reaching some distance, he heard the sound of Victor. He started moving towards that sound. He saw a human sleeping there. He went there and saw a man sleeping in the beach sand keeping his face facing the sand. He turned him to check whether he made that sound. When he turned, that wasn't a human. It was a dead body. Father again started moving towards the sound. The other two who searching for Victor also can't find him. Suddenly, rain starts and on both sides, they get drenched in the rain and finding Victor. Victor's uncle and constable saw Victor sleeping in the beach sand and he was completely drenched in rain. They reached him and he was alive. They also saw Victor's father near the mouth of the sea. Suddenly, he was pulled back by the waves and dragged inside the sea. Seeing this, police called the Coast Gaurd to search for that man. But couldn't find him. Victor's family was completely vexed as they have saved Victor but lost Victor's father. This is said to be believed. This story is prevailing through the net at the speed of the net.
Dumas Beach has also entered the 35 haunted places on the world list. Because of these reasons, this beach is considered Ghost Beach.
