JOURNEY
A journey is a thing everyone loves. Many loves to travel by flight that makes us save your time too. But what if a flight had no fuel in the mid of the path. In the future, this situation might not happen because Aeroplane Fuel Bunk will be available in the air. Nowadays many flight situation makes us surprise in their own way. Like so, MH370 Flight mystery has been written on our website. Air Canada Flight 143 incidence was an interesting one.
AIR CANDA FLIGHT 143
On July 22, 1983, Air Canada Flight 143 flys from Toronto to Edmonton for a maintenance inspection. This is done because from tomorrow this flight is going to become a passenger flight. This checkup was completed and ACF 143 travels to Montreal the next day. The flight is getting ready to travel from Montreal to Edmonton with the passengers. Passengers are getting in slowly and engineers work with fuel and other necessary actions before the takeoff. 61 passengers and the pilot are ready to take off. On July 23, 1983, this flight took off in clear weather and was traveling at the height of 41000 feet above Red Lake. The place now flight is traveling is the half the way to the destination.
Suddenly a warning sound beeps out of the device in front of the pilot. The pilot found that this warning signal comes from the Left Engine and couldn't route out the problem. He guessed that it could be because of fuel pressure. He turned off the warning sound and continued driving. Again a warning sound beeps out. This time the warning signal comes from the Right Engine and predicted that something is going to happen. Finally, a signal beeped out stating that the Left Engine of the plane is Dead. The pilot insisted the first officer find any airport nearer because with only the Right Engine the plane could not travel to the destination. While the searching process was going on, a sudden warning sound beeped out which was the first time the pilot, first officer, and cabin members heard this in their experience. This warning signal stated that all the engines in the flight are going to shut down.
Then the pilot comes to know about the fact behind these failures. This was because the system used to fill the fuel was different from before. Before Barbarian Imperial Units system was used to fill the fuel. But this time Glorious metric system was used to fill the fuel. Due to this, there was much confusion in the measurement. The officials told them to fill 22300 kg of fuel for the journey. But due to confusion, the Aircraft Fuel Handlers filled 22300 pounds of fuel. 1 pound = 1/2 kg. This shows that the fuel in the plane was just half that made the plane run only for half of the journey. The pilots who travel this flight knew that the fuel gauge shows the wrong measurement. So, pilots who got in to drive check the screen beside it. If this screen displayed " Fuel Sufficient" pilots will carry on the journey. Their Bad luck this screen has also shown the wrong measurement. Again a warning signal concluded the end of the Right Engine. Flight must be undergone an emergency landing. Pilot checks for the Maneuver that has solutions for critical situations. The Maneuver also doesn't have the situation that is going on now.
People inside are believing the pilot who is driving the plane. This is because the pilot who is driving the plane was an expert in driving Glider planes which are usually landed by coming vertically down and then landing like a plane. So, due to loss of fuel this flight might also move like that. This new model flight has Air turban at the bottom that pops out when both the engines failed to do their job. This acts as a temporary generator and generates electricity for the flight. With this pilot can control some of the flight and can make the flight not oscillate more while landing.
The first officer insisted on the presence of Winnipeg airport that is near for an emergency landing. However, this plane couldn't reach Winnipeg airport because there is no enough electricity to travel to the airport. So, the first officer calculates the Altitude of the plane falling and the distance it is covering. With the electricity, he could only check the altitude, not the distance. They reached the help of Winnipeg airport to calculate the distance with the help of radar. Finally the result he obtained confirmed that this flight can't reach Winnipeg airport for landing. They might find it nearer to Winnipeg Airport. Again they are reaching Winnipeg for help. They notified them that there is an airport nearer called Royal Canadian Airforce Space. This place was an airport before but now it is abandoned.
This place had a track for flight landing but was abandoned. So, Winnipeg insisted they land there. However, the speed of the flight is so fast that it was a tough job to land. Because the pilot has driven a glider of 400 kmph speed but this is more speeder than gliders. If he tried to slow down the speed by lowering the gear, the air turban at the bottom also slows down and stops generating electricity that makes the plane faster than what they expected.
Now in this abandoned airport, a car race is going on with a stage in the middle and people all around cheering up. As the engines are dead, the arrival of the plane is soundless. There car racing sound makes up the noise in that area. Suddenly a large shadow occurs. People look up and run away to save their lives because it was the ACF 143 flight in the process of landing. This flight is chasing behind a racing car. The electricity needed for the dropdown of front wheels is not available. Due to gravity force and the speed, the front wheels, fortunately, pops out but don't get the lock. The flight gets scratches that helped the flight to control its speed. Accurately before 100 meters from the stage, the plane stopped successfully and no deaths were happening. Everybody had small injuries.
Every people who came to watch the car race was also happy about this. The pilot and the first officer were called by the company. A letter was awarded to each person. The letter said that the pilot will be decreased from the post and the first officer will be suspended. Pilots were so sad about him because they had done an adventurous job saving every people without any heavy injuries.
He claimed the case in court and the court declared the result that was a favor for these two pilots. Again they came into position and the pilot was awarded a Diploma for Outstanding Airmanship. This award was not so easy to achieve by pilots.
After this, the flight traveled successfully for 25 years and was retrieved in 2008.
