WHAT IS BLOOD DONOR DAY?

The main component in our body is our blood. Blood contains much other substance which helps us in different problems and also has certain features. Accidents are very often in the world due to many violating rules, overspeeding, using no horn while turning, etc. During that time the victim or the patient needs the blood of his group to survive. If there is a shortage in blood banks that leads to the death of several people in need of blood. Here comes the blood group. As soon as the blood group is found we need to know the discoverer. Karl Landsteiner is a biologist who found blood groups and classified as A, B, AB, and O.

KARL LANDSTEINER

Karl Landsteiner was born on 14th June 1868. His father died when Karl was 6 years old. His father's name was Leopard Landsteiner, a doctor of law, well-known journalist, and newspaper publisher. His birth land was Vienna has carried out his schooling and graduated in medicine from the University of Vienna. As a student, he started researching biochemicals and he released a newspaper on the influence of diet composition. To get enriched with chemistry knowledge he moved to the laboratories of Hantzsch at Zurich. He came to his birth country and continued his medical studies in General Hospital. He was interested in exploring more in immunology and antibodies field. He formed a group with other professors who found the bacterial cause of meningitis and a professor who found pneumococcus. The findings had never stop and were published in the newspaper. That is the period when blood transplantation took place between animals, even humans who were affected with insanity were transferred with sheep's blood. Here is where the blood group comes into the picture. In 1909, he classified the blood groups into A, B, AB, and O and stated that transfusion between individual groups like A and B doesn't create any illness in the patient. As every story has a history of disagreeing with the inventor's findings, this finding also didn't reach the brain sight of people. Soon it became. He spends his life exploring more in the field of blood groups, antigens, antibodies, and immunological factors. He had a huge interest in science which helped us in modern science. On June 24, 1943, he had a heart attack in his laboratory and died after two days in his institute where he made his fantastic invention. He had a son named E. Landsteiner and a wife named Helen Wlasto. He got married in 1916.
