COPPER MINING
Copper Mining is done by digging deeper and deeper inside the earth to get the ore and extract copper and other materials from that. Thailand incident that took place inside a deep cave has shaken the world and made their family members in depression. And the team took them out successfully. Similar to this incident, another event in chile took place under the ground.
CHILE
Chile is a well-experienced country in copper mining and other mining activities. The government does a safety-rich activity in mining and even other projects. They follow every protocol initiated by the government. Private also does the same. But, some Private companies plan for profit and deny most of the protocols and proceed with their project. Like such an event in Chile took place. A deep copper mine was dug and 66 workers went deep inside and started doing their usual work. When the time to reach the ground was touched, workers were moving to the ground. Out of 66 workers, 33 went out and others are on the way, due to denying some of the protocols, the hole dug was weak and rocks commenced to fall down and blocked their way to the ground. All 33 workers stayed under the ground. The hole was built in a Zig-Zag manner and measured up to 2200 ft below the ground surface level. On 5th August 2010, this event took place, and on 7th August 2010, they informed their families about the chance of survival of the person inside the ground. So, their families started moving to the site to at least see the bodies of their belongings. This site is located in a desert and everybody has arrived there. After 17 days of hard work, the government decided to work with the final method and if it fails, let's close the project and move away. A slanting bore was pierced beside the Zig-Zag way and touched an area where the chance for the trace of workers can be found. Suddenly, a hard noise was heard from the bore. They lifted back the rig and saw if this rig was hit by any rocks. They found a piece of paper stating " All the 33 workers are safe and waiting for you to rescue us". This message shook all the people who were surrounded by this site. After seeing this news, NASA has also sent its team to accompany them and help them to rescue. The bore well that was pierced was set as food and other necessary material transporters. At the same time, another plan for rescuing these workers was going on. Even some college students accompanied this project. All were Engineers. Workers survived for 17 days only with the amount of food necessary for 2 days. Workers made that into ratio and made it drag till 17 days. A camera was let in and telecasted what is happening inside on the ground. Then a Tv was sent in and connected with the Tv that is outside. With a camera and microphone, they made the workers talk with their relatives. Every piece of equipment they brought in was with them. The headlight, they brought was used by them. They used a single headlight first and used another one after its death.
Finally, Engineers planned to create a capsule and sent that it. This capsule is with the wig that helps in carrying this capsule with the person. A person can stand in and come at a time. Many trials were done and even rescuers tested it by traveling in this machine. This type of machine was found on that incidence. Made it go 3 feet per second. Every action that took place inside was organized by a 56-year old man. He assisted everybody and made them united. When this was first let in, he said that he stayed here till all the workers go up. Nearly, it took 1 hour 30 minutes to take a man out and 30 minutes rest was given to the capsule after carrying a man to the surface. Like so, all the workers including the old man were carried back to the surface. Everybody was healthy enough and but everyone lost 5 to 6 kg of weight due to food scarcity in the first 17 days. But after that necessary action was taken. Mainly, water included foods were supplied to reduce the motion and increase the urine. Chile people also prayed for them to come back safely. They gave a motivational speech and even told the effort taken by the Chilean government.
